Eighteen years have passed since the day you put your life to the edge of death, just to give life to me. I know you were fearful at that moment, perhaps the fact
that you might die lingered on your head as you entered the delivery room.
You’ve sacrificed just for my tiny, fragile body to be able to get out and
experience the gift called “life”. You’re the reason why I am here, writing a
blog for you; the reason why I get to feel God’s grace in my life, you are my
hero. This would be my first time to say “sorry” for making you suffer at your
hours of labor. Sorry for the pain I’ve caused you during childbirth. Thank you
dearest Nanay for pushing it through, just for me and for my other four
sisters. Despite of the sweat you’ve poured out, the tears you’ve cried and the
screams you’ve made, I am pretty sure I made you smile when you saw me for the
first time :)
As I reflect into the 18 years I’ve spent beside you, I
can’t help but to wonder if I was ever worth the sacrifices you’ve made. I
believe I am not…and yet your unfailing love continues. THANK YOU SO MUCH. You've been with me in tears and in joy. You've seen my happiness when I first
fell in love and you’ve also been there to witness my grief. (hahaha) You’re my
secret-keeper, my bestfriend, my angel, if I may say. You’ve always been there
during times of discouragement, giving me hugs and kisses. You’re also present
to make me a cup of coffee when I need to stay up all night studying..simple
acts that are always appreciated. Above all, I would like to say thank you for
your prayers. I know you've never skipped a day in praying for us,
your children. That’s the greatest thing about you! You’ve taught us well about
the importance of God in our lives. THANK YOU NAY for all the memories you've shared with us and for the golden time you've spent with the five of us. We
will never forget them.
I hope that I made you proud. I pray that someday I can give back all the sacrifices you’ve made. I praise God for your life and I thank Him for giving me the best mother in the whole wide world. :) Continue being a blessing not only to us, but to all your students. WE LOVE YOU!
M-O-T-H-E-R
"M" is for the million things she gave me,
"O" means only that she's growing old,
"T" is for the tears she shed to save me,
"H" is for her heart of purest gold;
"E" is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
"R" means right, and right she'll always be,
Put them all together, they spell "MOTHER,"
A word that means the world to me.
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY NANAY!
Here’s a song I am offering to you:
One Heartbeat At A Time
You're up all night with a screaming baby
You run all day at the speed of life
And every day you feel a little bit less
Like the beautiful woman you are
So you fall into bed when you run out of hours
And you wonder if anything worth doing got done
Oh, maybe you just don't know
Or maybe you've forgotten
You, you are changing the world
One little heartbeat at a time
Making history with every touch and every smile
Oh, you, you may not see it now
But I believe that time will tell
How you, you are changing the world
One little heartbeat at a time
With every "I know you can do it"
Every tear that you kiss away
So many little things that seem to go unnoticed
They're just like the drops of rain over time
They become a river
And you, you are changing the world
One little heartbeat at a time
Making history with every touch and every smile
Oh, you, you may not see it now
But I believe that time will tell
How you, you are changing the world
One little heartbeat at a time
You're beautiful
You're beautiful
How you're changing the world
You're changing the world
You, you are changing the world
One little heartbeat at a time
Making history with every touch and every smile
Oh, you, you may not see it now
But I believe that time will tell
How you, you are changing the world
Oh, I believe that you
You are changing the world
One little heartbeat
At a time
And you're changing the world
